SPnews staff: Much appreciation in advance for giving us this opportunity.
EA: No problem. I thank you in turn, for allowing me to share a bit more about myself.
SPnews staff: Give us a quick over view of yourself.
EA: I'm your typical girl-next-door type person. I'm a wife and mother, and much of my time is devoted to teaching and teacherish activities. I guess for the most part, I am quiet and reserved, though New Yorkers have a reputation for being loud and pushy.
SPnews staff: Your first book, The Obsessive Compulsive Romance Novelist, just released. How do you feel about that?
EA: It's still very surreal. In viewing my cover I had to learn to accept that yes, that is me. I wrote a book, and people are actually buying it. It's a huge blessing in my life.
SPnews staff: The heroine - Erika - in this novel is extremely sympathetic. What made you choose to build a character like her?
EA: I'm so glad you feel she is sympathetic! I wanted to create a character that evoked sympathy, if not empathy, from the readers. Personally, though, I've always been fascinated by OCD.
SPnews staff: What project do you plan next?
EA: Believe it or not, I have another novel, which I finished last year, that's just sitting in my computer files. It needs a lot of tweaking though, and I've only just begun to pull it apart. In the meantime, I've started working on the sequel to TOCRN.
SPnews staff: Any inclination to attempt another genre?
EA: At the moment, no. It would be fun to write something from a man's perspective.
SPnews staff: Tell us the truth, is there any Erika in Evie?
EA: As much as I'd hate to admit it, I think I stress over things the way she does. Thankfully, I can handle germs. I have to, I'm surrounded by kids 'round the clock!
